Drag and burlesque have always been more than just entertainment—they are acts of resistance, resilience, and radical self-expression. “Rebels in Rhinestones” is a mini lecture series exploring the intersections of queer performance, history, and activism.
Four local performers will each give a 20-minute presentation on topics that uncover the hidden histories, cultural significance, and political impact of these art forms.

The cafe will have drinks available for sale. Additionally, Bramble has generously donated mini donuts available for attendees.
While the cafe lacks an automatic door, we will have volunteers at the door able to provide some assistance if needed. Additionally, the washroom is single-room and has space to accommodate a wheelchair.
